Mary Roach and the Science of Things

Have you read anything by Mary Roach? Apparently some of you have because most of her books are checked out. She has written such interesting books as Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers and Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife. Her newest one to come out, Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex seems like another fascinating read. Honestly, I haven’t gotten around to any of them, but with titles and subjects like these, I’m not sure why. She gets good marks for combining science and interesting topics, and although these “interesting topics” may get a little too close for comfort, I hear she is able to add the right amount of humor to get through some of the more uncomfortable parts. So if you want to step out of the fiction section for something a little more educational, why not try Mary Roach. And please let me know what you think.

Check her out
