Carpe Liber

Yesterday I wrote about how I feel too busy to go back and read the classics that I’ve missed along the way. Today I have a possible solution to this problem: Have you heard of it? No? Well, it’s a website that has a bunch of books that you can subscribe to and they will send you a section of the book each day in your email—for free. Well, some of them are free, some of the newer ones seem to cost between 5 to 10 dollars. But it’s cool because it’s a way to squeeze a few more books into your life. Even if you don’t have time to sit down and read, you can usually spend a few more minutes at your desk reading your email. I’m going to start Wuthering Heights (no, they don’t have To Kill a Mockingbird). It may get you to read something that you would never pick up otherwise.

  1. I LOVe! I made this discovery a couple years ago and am addicted! I usually sit down in the morning with my cup of tea and read a little piece of classic. It's a great way to start the day. Thanks for suggesting this Amanda! You're awesome!

  2. Dailylit is really cool. I read Lewis Carroll's American Fairy Tales this way. Wuthering Heights has about 150 sections, so it's going to take me a while, but it definitely is a great part of a morning routine. It's like a little workout for your brain.
